We offer flexible, small-scale childcare in a homely atmosphere for children aged 0 to 13. Our agency remains involved throughout the entire childcare period and maintains personal contact with the childminders, visiting them regularly for guidance and quality control. At our childminder agency (gastouderbureau), we find the right match between your family and a childminder who suits your wishes and life philosophy. We have approximately 25 different childminders registered, each with their own character, experience, and approach. Our placement coordinators Nathalie Klaassen and Samira van Beekhuizen personally guide you in finding a childminder who not only meets all legal requirements but also builds an emotional bond with your child. We remain involved throughout the entire care period and ensure continuous quality monitoring.
Subsidy & costs
After signing the agreement, you can apply for childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag) if you are entitled to it. You do this via www.toeslagen.nl. It is important to apply for the benefit on time, otherwise you will miss out on part of it. For assistance with applying for childcare benefit, you can contact our Finance department at 0118 – 62 85 03.
Trust & screening
Our screening process for childminders is thorough. All childminders have completed pedagogical training and work according to our pedagogical policy. We screen not only the childminders themselves but also all adult household members and individuals who are regularly present. Everyone receives a Certificate of Conduct (VOG) and is continuously screened by the Justice Department. In addition, the municipal health service (GGD) inspects the home at start-up and subsequently on a sample basis. Annually, a staff member from our agency visits each childminder for a risk assessment of the house and garden.
Safety and trust are paramount at our childminder agency. All childminders have completed pedagogical training, work according to our pedagogical policy, and amply meet the requirements of the Childcare Act. We carry out an annual risk assessment for safety and health at each childminder's home. All childminders hold a first aid certificate with annual refresher training and a Certificate of Conduct (VOG). Adult household members and regularly present individuals are also screened. The municipal health service (GGD) inspects the homes at start-up and subsequently on a sample basis. Each childminder has a backup arrangement for emergencies.

Our childminders (gastouders) follow the pedagogical policy of Kinderopvang Walcheren, with the goal of giving children the best possible start for the future. We offer children security, so that each child gains confidence in themselves and their environment. Only when a child feels safe and comfortable in their own skin do they have the space to develop. Our childminders are attuned to the signals children give, encourage children to try things for themselves, work with a predictable daily routine, talk extensively with children to stimulate their language development, provide space for learning through play, and guide children in building their first friendships.
