Summary

GGD Brabant-Zuidoost conducted an unannounced annual inspection on 9 April 2026 at BSO Korenwolfjes in Helmond, part of Stichting Spring Kinderopvang. The after-school care (BSO) provides care for children aged 4 to 8 years in a separate building on the premises of primary school de Korenaar. All assessed domains meet the statutory quality requirements: pedagogical climate, staff and groups, safety and health, accommodation, and parental rights. The pedagogical practice shows engaged childcare professionals who work on social competence and the transfer of values and norms. Regarding safety and health, one point of attention was identified: not all childcare professionals were fully familiar with the correct procedures for the mandatory reporting, consultation, and filing obligations. The holder addressed this immediately by giving extra attention in team meetings and training sessions. No violations were identified during this inspection. The GGD advises no enforcement action.
