Care through Korelon entitles you to childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag) from the Tax Authorities. Parents can apply for childcare benefit for a maximum of €8.10 per child per hour in 2025. The benefit depends on family income, number of care hours and number of children. We offer a calculation tool on our website to calculate net costs and benefit. Parents must apply for the benefit themselves with the Tax Authorities within 3 months of starting care. Our administration can help with questions about the application. For parents without entitlement to benefit, there are possibilities for social medical indication via the municipality.

The costs for childminder care (gastouderopvang) at Korelon consist of two parts: monthly agency fees to Korelon and an hourly fee for the childminder (gastouder). For 2025 we advise a fee of approximately €7.00 per hour per child to the childminder. The agency fees are a fixed rate per family per month. Parents can use our calculation tool on the website to calculate gross and monthly costs, including childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag). We have fixed direct debit dates (around the 10th or 25th of the month) and an online hours registration system for transparent invoicing.

Our childminders (gastouders) undergo an extensive screening procedure before being admitted to our network. We check diplomas, Certificates of Conduct (VOG) for childminders and their household members, PRK registrations and first aid certificates. We conduct intake interviews on location with childminders and perform annual risk assessments of the care location. All our childminders have at least an MBO2-level pedagogical education and a valid first aid for children certificate. We visit childminders at least twice a year at the care location and conduct annual evaluation interviews.

Korelon meets all legal requirements for childminder agencies (gastouderbureaus) and is inspected annually by the GGD (Municipal Health Service). We are affiliated with the Branchevereniging Kinderopvang (Childcare Industry Association) and the Geschillencommissie Kinderopvang en Peuterspeelzalen (Childcare and Preschool Disputes Committee). We have an internal complaints procedure and parents can submit complaints to the Disputes Committee. Our childminders (gastouders) are thoroughly screened with VOG (Certificate of Conduct) checks, diploma verification, first aid certification and risk assessments of care locations. We offer free accident insurance for childminders and guest children during care hours.
