About this care
Welcome to Korein Barrierweg, our daycare center located at Barrierweg 1 in Eindhoven. We provide a homely environment where up to 28 children aged 0 to 4 can safely develop and feel secure. Our vertical group allows children of different ages to play together and learn from each other.
We follow the Pyramid method during our toddler program, working thematically based on children's experiences. Our pedagogical staff stimulate children's independence by involving them in daily activities like cutting fruit and setting the table. We have close collaboration with Atalanta Primary School, creating play areas suitable for both toddlers and kindergarteners.
Our Discovery Garden offers plenty of opportunities for natural exploration. Children can discover mud kitchens, dig for treasures, or simply get their hands in the soil. We regularly organize excursions, such as our recent visit to the prehistoric village where children learned fire-making and hut-building. We also offer sports activities like Voetjebal, where toddlers develop motor skills through play.
For the youngest ones, we provide diapers and bottle feeding, with separate sleeping areas. We offer both full-day care and half-days, Monday through Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM. The annual unannounced inspection by GGD Brabant-Zuidoost on 7 May 2026 at Korein Barrierweg (daycare center/kinderdagverblijf/KDV) in Eindhoven shows a predominantly positive picture with some administrative shortcomings that have been resolved. The location, part of Wij zijn JONG, provides daycare for 28 children in two groups in the Woensel-Zuid neighbourhood. The pedagogical climate, staffing levels, and group sizes meet legal requirements. There were three violations for which a recovery offer (herstelaanbod) was made: an employee was not linked in the persons register in time, the early childhood education (VE) coordinator was missing from the register, and a staff member lacked supplementary training requirements. There was also a shortcoming regarding parent participation. All violations have since been resolved. The GGD advises no enforcement action.
