The Municipal Health Service (GGD) inspection on 24 June 2026 at childminder/host parent care (gastouderopvang) Koenen in Nijmegen shows that the childminder and facility meet all legal requirements. The childminder, registered since 2014, provides day care and after-school care (BSO) for children aged 0 to 13 years through childminder agency ViaViela. The pedagogical practice is good: the childminder provides emotional security, stimulates development and communicates in a warm, familiar manner with the children. No violations were identified. A safety risk was discussed: power outlets without socket covers. The childminder was able to demonstrate that these have internal safety shutters, which addresses the risk. The accommodation is safe and smoke-free, the group composition meets the requirements and there is an adequate backup care arrangement.
