About this care
Welcome to Knutselkookclub Haarlemdependance located at Marnixstraat 82 in Haarlem. At our dependance, children from toddler to teenager can participate in cooking clubs and creative activities. We offer a unique combination of cooking and crafting where children playfully learn about different flavors, ingredients, and creative techniques.
Our cooking lessons are specially designed for different age groups: we have clubs for children aged 4-6 years, 7-11 years, 11-13 years, and even for 14 years and older. The children get acquainted with different flavors and ingredients while preparing a tasty, fun, and of course healthy meal. They learn by watching, feeling, tasting, and smelling.
For our clubs that start at 4:00 PM and end at 6:00 PM, we offer a convenient pickup service. We pick up the children directly from school and bring them to our location. The children have already eaten with us, so you can pick up your child at 6:00 PM and even take home a delicious meal so you don't have to cook at home!
Besides cooking, we also offer creative workshops such as carpentry lessons and other crafting activities. The combination of cooking and crafting makes our club unique in Haarlem. Our goal is to introduce children to healthy food and creative expression in a playful way.

On 14 April 2026, Municipal Health Service (GGD) Kennemerland conducted an unannounced follow-up investigation at after-school care (BSO) Knutselkookclub Haarlemdependance. This investigation followed earlier violations from 10 November 2025. The location provides care for 20 children aged 4 to 11 years. The investigation found that not all previous violations have been resolved. The personnel register is now correctly arranged: all staff members are linked to the right franchise holder. However, the other three violations remain unaddressed. The location received a recovery offer for deploying a staff member in training without a supervision plan, but this is still not in order. Reliable staff schedules and attendance registration are also missing, making it impossible to verify the staff-to-child ratio. Mentorship is not clearly arranged, and the safety and health policy is not structurally discussed and evaluated with the team.
