About this care
Welcome to Kleinschalige Kinderopvang Het Uilenbos, a trusted daycare centre in the heart of De Wijk. We provide care for up to 16 children aged 0 to 4 years. Our location at Dorpsstraat 78 has been officially registered in the National Childcare Register since 23 December 2020, allowing parents to apply for childcare allowance.
Everything we do revolves around small-scale care, tranquillity and personal attention. We work with horizontal groups, bringing babies, toddlers and preschoolers together in age-based groups. Each group has its own regular pedagogical staff who really get to know your child. We follow the statutory staff-to-child ratio and are supervised by the GGD Drenthe.
Pre-school education (VE) is standard with us. We use recognised programmes to stimulate language, motor skills and social skills through play. Reading aloud, singing, crafts and outdoor play are all part of this. In our garden children can play safely; inside there is a separate sleeping room with cots and cribs. Fresh fruit, drinks and a healthy bread meal are included. Special dietary requirements or allergies are gladly discussed with you.

Summary
The annual inspection by GGD Drenthe on 21 April 2026 shows that Kleinschalige Kinderopvang Het Uilenbos in de Wijk meets all statutory quality requirements. The toddler group, located in the community centre and registered for a maximum of 16 children aged 2 to 4 years, scores well on pedagogical climate, staff and groups, safety and health, and parental rights. The early childhood education programme is well structured with the Pyramid programme, sufficient hours, and qualified childcare professionals. The safety and health policy, domestic violence reporting code, and complaints procedure are also in order. No violations were identified and no areas for improvement were noted. The operator is affiliated with the Geschillencommissie Kinderopvang (Childcare Disputes Committee) and no complaints have been received. This is the fourth consecutive year without any deficiencies.
