About this care
Klein Alkmaar Spieghelplein is a small-scale daycare centre located right in the neighbourhood. We provide care for up to 16 children aged 0 to 4 in a homely and safe environment. As part of Stichting Klein Alkmaar, we follow the same core values: committed, social, empathetic and flexible. We stimulate the development of the very youngest through play and offer early childhood education (VVE), so that children learn through play and get used to the structure of school. Summary
Municipal Health Service (GGD) Hollands Noorden conducted a follow-up investigation on 16 January 2026 at daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Klein Alkmaar Spieghelplein in Alkmaar. This investigation followed an annual inspection in September 2025 during which a shortcoming was identified regarding preschool education (voorschoolse educatie): developmental goals for children with a VE indication were not recorded in a concrete and measurable manner. During this follow-up investigation, it was found that the location has adapted its working methods. Staff now record observations in the child tracking system Kijk and link these to the developmental goals of indicated children. The shortcoming has been resolved and all assessed requirements are now met. The GGD advises the municipality of Alkmaar not to apply enforcement measures.
