About this care
Welcome to Klein Alkmaar Muiderwaard, our homely and playful daycare centre in the Muiderwaard district of Alkmaar. We provide day care for babies, toddlers and preschoolers from 0 to 4 years in a bright, spacious central hall that fully reflects our ‘open doors’ philosophy. During playtime children can meet each other here, allowing them to grow up together naturally and make a smooth transition to the next group.
Our outdoor area is a well-hidden surprise: nice and large with a natural look. We have deliberately kept the difference between inside and outside small, so children can move and explore freely. Babies have their own separate room so they can play safely with peers.
Klein Alkmaar Muiderwaard is located close to the ring road and near several schools. Many local parents bring their child to us, creating a familiar and social environment. We are proud to offer a place where children feel at home and parents can go to work with peace of mind.Read more

Summary
The annual inspection on 5 August 2026 at daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Klein Alkmaar Muiderwaard in Alkmaar showed that the location initially did not meet all quality requirements. A violation was identified regarding safety and health policy: the location-specific policy had not been kept up to date since December 2025 and the annual cycle for evaluation and updating was not fully completed. Following a recovery offer, the location manager revised the policy and updated the Risk Monitor, after which the violation was assessed as resolved. All other assessed requirements, including pedagogical policy, staff registration, care stability, domestic violence reporting protocol, and parent rights, were found to be in order immediately. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises the municipality of Alkmaar not to take enforcement measures.
