About this care
Welcome to Kinderwoud BSO Ferwoude, located at Buren 31 in the heart of Ferwoude. Our after-school care provides a warm and safe place for all school-going children aged 4 to 13. With a maximum capacity of 20 children, we work in small, manageable groups where every child has the space to be themselves.
At our location, learning through play is central. We offer a variety of activities where movement, music, and healthy nutrition form the foundation. These elements not only stimulate brain and talent development but also ensure lots of fun and relaxation after a school day. Additionally, there is plenty of room for free time: children can relax, play outside, or enjoy time with friends.
Our location operates multilingually: we speak both Dutch and Frisian. We do this to playfully stimulate children in their language development and multilingualism. We collaborate with SFBO (Sintrum Frysktalige Berne-opfang) for this purpose. We also accommodate the ‘comfort language’: words from the mother tongue that can be used when a child needs to adjust or is feeling sad.
