About this care
We are KinderRijk BSO Thula, located at Obiplein 115 in Amsterdam. Our after-school care is situated in the same building as Vrijeschool Thula, ensuring a smooth transition from school to childcare. We provide care for up to 62 children aged 4 to 12 years.
Our BSO is open until 18:30 on school days and from 08:15 to 18:30 during school holidays. We also operate on school study days. Children can find both relaxation after a busy school day and engaging activities and adventures with us.
We work from four core values: Fun, Respect, Development and Imagination. These form the foundation of everything we do. Our pedagogical staff collect children from their classrooms after school. Older children may come to the care location independently with a declaration of independence.
Our activity programme is varied and tailored to children's interests. We build huts, get creative in our studio, play live stratego and regularly go on outings. During school holidays we organise group activities outside the location, such as trips to nearby places accessible on foot or by public transport. Spontaneous outings are also part of our regular activities.
We believe it's important that children can make their own choices. Through the Children's Council they can have their say in our programme. Together we create an environment where every child can develop in their own way. Healthy eating is a social moment for us: we eat and drink together at the table and teach children healthy habits through play.
Parents receive photos, daily reports and messages about their child's experiences through our parent app, keeping you informed of all the special moments we share together.Read more

Summary
The annual inspection of 23 June 2026 at KinderRijk BSO Thula identified three violations. The holder accepted a recovery offer for this and the violations have been resolved. The third violation concerns the absence of a parent committee, for the third year in a row. No recovery offer was made for this.
