About this care
Welcome to Kinderopvang Mathil – Staphorst KDV, located at Ebbinge Wubbenlaan 41b in Staphorst. Our facility opened on 1 November 2015 and has been providing trusted childcare for children aged 0 to 4 ever since. Since December 2019 we own the building, and after a thorough renovation in 2020 it now offers excellent space for both our daycare and toddler care.
We are open on weekdays from 07:00 to 18:00. Parents can choose full-day care or a half-day session (morning or afternoon). For half-day sessions you may bring or collect your child between 12:30 and 13:00. Flexible care is also available by arrangement.
Kinderopvang Mathil operates from a Christian identity and aims to provide high-quality childcare in a safe and familiar environment. Our pedagogical staff pay close attention to your child’s development. We have capacity for up to 56 children and are officially registered in the National Childcare Register under number 193877144.

Summary
Kinderopvang Mathil – Staphorst KDV provides daycare and early education (voorschoolse educatie/VE) for 56 children in a modern, VE-subsidized building. During the annual unannounced inspection on 25 September 2025, all quality requirements were met with one exception: the early education group lacked a valid VE certificate and the staff-child ratio was insufficient. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) issued a recovery offer of two weeks. At the follow-up visit on 16 October 2025, the location was found to be compliant: all early education staff now hold valid certificates and the ratio is at least 1 to 8. No other violations or structural improvement points were identified; administration, staffing, group composition, accommodation and pedagogical policy all comfortably exceed statutory standards. The Municipal Executive is advised not to take enforcement measures.
