About this care
Welcome to Kinderopvang Jasmijn, a warm and small-scale daycare centre located at Knopstraat 2 in Utrecht. We provide care for up to 29 children aged 0 to 4 years in a single vertical group. Babies, toddlers and preschoolers play together, allowing the youngest to learn from the older children and giving everyone the space to develop at their own pace.
Our focus is on creating a homely atmosphere where trust, security and personal attention are central. Our dedicated and consistent staff ensure that every child feels safe and has the opportunity to grow. We follow the four pedagogical core objectives of Prof. Dr. Marianne Riksen-Walraven: emotional safety, personal competence, social competence and the transmission of values and norms. This way, we offer not just childcare, but also an enriching environment for your child’s development.

Summary
KR Kinderdagverblijf Jasmijn in Utrecht provides daycare for up to 11 children in one core group. During the unannounced annual inspection visit on 30 June 2025, the Municipal Health Service (GGD) concluded that the location meets the quality requirements of the Childcare Act following a recovery offer. Two safety risks were identified: a stair gate that did not close properly and a hole in the floor. These shortcomings were remedied immediately after the inspector's recovery offer. The staff-child ratio is in order, the pedagogical policy is being implemented, and all staff members hold a valid Certificate of Conduct (VOG). The accommodation meets space requirements and the outdoor play area is safe and accessible. There is no cause for enforcement by the municipality.
