De Speelhoeve daycare is located on a quiet rural spot at Timmermannsweg 98 in Ysselsteyn. Housed in a stylishly renovated farmhouse, we welcome children from 0 to 4 years and give them all the space they need to grow and play. The calm countryside provides a low-stimulus environment so your child's needs are always the focus.
Both indoors and outdoors everything is designed for young children. The large outdoor area invites adventure: grass hills, a wooden playhouse, sandpits, tree trunks, climbing opportunities and our own animals make every day different. We follow the pedagogical handbook of the United Agricultural Childcare (VAK). We stimulate language development, motor skills and independence. For toddlers who need extra support, we offer Early Childhood Education using the PUK method, preparing them playfully for primary school.
De Speelhoeve is small-scale with a homely atmosphere where parents, children and staff truly know each other. We are open Monday to Friday from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM. Summary
This inspection report concerns a registration investigation for daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) De Speelhoeve B.V. in Ysselsteyn, conducted by Municipal Health Service (GGD) Limburg-Noord on behalf of the municipality of Venray. The investigation took place due to a change in legal structure from general partnership (VOF) to private limited company (BV). The location offers agricultural childcare for children aged 0-4 in a rural setting with farm animals and has 48 childcare places. The GGD conducted document-based research into three topics: timely notification of the change to the municipality, a valid Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) for the legal entity of the new provider and its directors, and membership of the Childcare Disputes Committee. The provider has met all assessed quality requirements. The change notification forms were submitted one day after Chamber of Commerce registration, the legal entity's Certificate of Good Conduct is in order, and membership of the Disputes Committee has been arranged effective 1 December 2025. The advice to the Municipal Executive is to include the provider in the national childcare register.
