About this care
Welcome to Daycare De Hobbeltjes, located at Liduinahof 35 in Boxtel. Our daycare is part of Kinderland and offers a warm, homely environment where children aged 0 to 4 feel safe and at ease. We deliberately choose to remain small-scale: a maximum of 32 children divided into two groups, ensuring every child receives the personal attention they deserve.
Our vision is inspired by the insights of Emmi Pikler. We believe in calm, regularity and room for a child’s own initiative. Learning and discovering through play is central. Our pedagogical staff follow each child’s individual rhythm and provide support where needed. We work with horizontal groups, where children of different ages play together and learn from each other.
Daily meals are varied and healthy. For children aged 1 to 4 we serve fresh fruit and other nutritious products at set times. Our daycare is open Monday to Friday from 06:30 to 18:30 (other times by arrangement). We are open 52 weeks a year, except on national holidays.

- Parental rights: alternative parent consultation — parents were not involved in the fee change, only informed by letter
Summary
Kinderopvang de Hobbeltjes in Boxtel, a small-scale daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) for a maximum of 16 children (0-4 years), was inspected on 12 March 2026 by GGD Hart voor Brabant. The location meets most quality requirements, but there were two violations for which a recovery offer was made. Regarding the pedagogical climate, it was found that practice did not always match policy: there was insufficient sensitive responsiveness, limited autonomy for children during long table-based activities, and an incident involving a crying child where parents were involved too late and no referral took place. An adequate alternative parent consultation was also lacking. Following the recovery offer, including a second site visit on 7 May 2026, both requirements have been met. The holder is more actively involved, the pedagogical coach has been deployed, and improvements are visible in daily practice.
