About this care
Kinderopvang Blij is located at Brouwerstraat 2 in Sint-Michielsgestel and provides small-scale childcare for children aged 0 to 4 years. We offer a safe and familiar environment where children learn and develop through play. Parents can choose between full or half-day care, depending on their needs. Additionally, we offer a special toddler arrangement for children from 2 to 2.5 years old, where they come to play and develop on fixed days.
Our vision focuses on discovering and developing each child's unique skills. We believe it is important for children to learn to take each other into account, listen to each other, help each other, and stand up for themselves. We take children seriously and give them all the space to express their emotions. This creates an environment where children feel safe and loved.
Kinderopvang Blij collaborates with primary school De Wegwijzer and BSO Bolderburen within Kindcentrum Wegwijzer. This partnership enables us to offer a continuous developmental line for children from 0 to 12/13 years. Our joint goal is for children who feel good about themselves to continue growing in all areas.

Summary
Kinderdagverblijf Blij in Sint-Michielsgestel provides care for up to 43 children (ages 0-4) in three core groups. The annual inspection on 30 January 2025 shows that the location meets the quality requirements for pedagogical climate, staff/groups, risk description, and presence of a parent committee. Two violations were identified: a trainee with long painted nails prepared fruit without gloves (hand hygiene) and the parent committee regulations were improperly signed. Both violations were resolved within three weeks following a recovery offer: the trainee no longer works with long nails and the regulations have been re-signed by the current chair and the holder. Parents are positive about staff expertise, involvement, and individual attention. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises no enforcement.
