About this care
Kinderdagverzorging De Kasteeltuin is an independent non-profit daycare center located in a characteristic 1920s school building at Borgerstraat 8 in Spangen, Rotterdam-West. Established on May 1, 2014, through a unique initiative by parents and staff from the former Beatrix daycare (Rotterdam's oldest crèche), we combine 75 years of experience with fresh, modern childcare approaches.
We operate with five horizontal age-based groups for children aged 0-4 years. Each group has dedicated, experienced staff working on fixed days to provide consistency and familiarity for the children.
Our facility features five spacious, bright group rooms and a large, enclosed castle garden where children play daily and explore nature. The garden includes a water garden where children can splash and play with mud. During bad weather, children can enjoy our special movement floor.
We prioritize security, routine, and daily freshly prepared warm meals. As a Lekker Fit! location, we focus on healthy nutrition. Our approach centers on creating a safe, familiar environment where children can grow, flourish, play, and explore with joy. We use the Speelplezier program for preschool education.Read more
