Settling in
After the placement agreement is signed, an intake interview takes place. Parent and child receive 3 settling-in days (wenperiode). The first settling-in day takes place after the intake, after which the child stays for an hour right away. For children transitioning from the Generaaltjes to the Admiraaltjes, they settle in one full day per week starting 3 weeks before the transition date, thanks in part to the 'open door' policy.
