About this care
Welcome to Kinderdagverblijf Het Frankhuisje, a small-scale daycare center for children aged 0 to 4 years located at Frankhuizerallee 50B in Zwolle. We provide care in two horizontal groups: one baby/toddler group with a maximum of 9 children and one preschooler group. Thanks to our small-scale approach, we can give personal attention to each child and create a homely atmosphere.
Our location has been officially registered in the National Childcare Register since January 13, 2010 under number 240630749. We are a sole proprietorship fully focused on childcare for the very youngest. Twice a year we organize fun outings for the children, parents and siblings, allowing us to further strengthen our bond with the families.
At Het Frankhuisje we believe in the power of small-scale care. Our professional childcare staff provide a safe and familiar environment where children can develop optimally. Strengths
- Administration is clear and provided in a timely manner
- All staff members received coaching in 2025 through various methods including on-the-job coaching, peer supervision (intervisie), and video coaching
- Sufficient and appropriately designed indoor and outdoor play areas
- Valid Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) and registration in the Childcare Personnel Register for all employees
- An adult with a valid first aid certificate is always present
- Clean and safe working practices in the indoor spaces

Summary
The annual unannounced inspection by GGD IJsselland on 15 June 2026 shows that daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Het Frankhuisje in Zwolle largely meets the statutory quality requirements. The small-scale Reggio Emilia-inspired daycare center with 20 childcare places scores well in all examined domains. One violation was identified: the manner in which the backup emergency cover (achterwacht) was arranged was missing from the safety and health policy. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) has issued a recovery offer for this. The license holder did not submit a response. No shortcomings have been identified in the past two years. The GGD advises the municipality of Zwolle not to take enforcement measures.
