We are Kinderdagverblijf and Peutergroep Steltloper, located in Brede School Steltloper at Directeur van der Mühlenlaan 30 in Kerkrade. We welcome children from 0 to 4 years in a familiar setting where all forms of childcare come together. Our baby group is specially designed for the youngest ones: calm, safety and security are key. Our baby specialists provide loving care and follow your child’s natural feeding and sleeping rhythm. Older children enjoy various play corners and stimulating materials that invite exploration and development. For toddlers aged 2 to 4 we offer development-oriented care with Early Childhood Education (VVE). We prepare your child for primary school through play and foster independence. We work closely with primary schools Steltloper and De Blokkenberg, ensuring a smooth transition. A fixed daily routine gives recognition and structure: set eating, care and play moments fit the rhythm of young children. Healthy nutrition and plenty of exercise are important to us. Children receive daily fruit or seasonal vegetables and drink water or unsweetened tea. Sandwiches are topped with lean fillings such as chicken fillet, hummus or vegetarian spread. We move every day, indoors or outdoors, with simple movement games. Our spacious, green outdoor play area borders directly on the daycare and offers plenty of space to run, cycle and climb. The child is at the centre of everything we do. We value personal attention, hygiene, safety and the expertise of our pedagogical staff. We maintain open communication with parents and actively involve you in your child’s development. Together we create a warm, safe place where your child feels at home.
