About this care
At daycare De Werf in Zaandijk we provide care for children aged 0 to 4 years. Our location is situated inside the school building of IKC De Werf at Koperslagerstraat 2 in Zaandijk. Together with Primary School De Werf we have formed an Integral Child Centre (IKC) since the 2019-2020 school year, where education and childcare seamlessly connect.
We are open Monday through Friday from 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM. As part of the IKC we work closely with the school, ensuring a smooth transition from childcare to primary education. Our pedagogical staff align their approach with the vision and core values of IKC De Werf, so that children experience a familiar and continuous learning and development environment.

The annual inspection by GGD Zaanstreek-Waterland on 11 August 2026 shows that daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) de Werf in Zaandijk meets all assessed quality requirements. The location provides care for a maximum of 58 children (ages 0-4) in four core groups. The pedagogical practice was assessed as sound, with attention to emotional safety and social competencies.
