About this care
Welcome to Cowboys & Indiana, the most delightful daycare centre in Amsterdam, located at Overtoom 272-274. We are an independent childcare facility with a homely atmosphere where up to 33 children are cared for in three horizontal groups: a baby group, a toddler group, and a preschool group. Our team of qualified and enthusiastic childcare professionals creates a warm, safe environment every day where children aged 0 to 4 can develop optimally.
What makes our location special is the enormous 180 m² backyard and our own vegetable garden where children can care for the plants themselves. We regularly take trips with our wagon to the nearby Vondelpark. The spacious group areas behind our characteristic façade offer children all the room they need to discover, play and grow in a familiar setting.
At Cowboys & Indiana, emotional safety, attention to each child's individual needs and a challenging environment are central. One violation was identified: the description of the two-person rule in the safety and health policy did not match practice, with sometimes only one staff member present when opening and closing. Following a recovery offer (herstelaanbod), the staff roster has been adjusted so that two staff members are always present; the violation has been resolved. The GGD advises that no enforcement measures be imposed.
