Summary

Daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) De Bostuin in Colmschate provides day care for up to 31 children and is part of Kindernet. Municipal Health Service (GGD) IJsselland conducted an unannounced annual inspection on 27 November 2025. All assessed quality requirements within the domains of 'pedagogical climate' and 'staff and groups' are met. The pedagogical policy is documented in writing, staff consciously work according to the four core pedagogical goals and are predominantly focused on the babies during interactions. All employees hold a valid Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG), correct registration in the PRK and appropriate qualifications; almost everyone is certified for baby care. The staff-child ratio complies with the law, no trainees or students are included in the count and the maximum group size is not exceeded. Children are supervised in fixed core groups, have a maximum of two fixed staff members (babies) or three fixed staff members (toddlers) and each child has a mentor who consults with parents about development. Coaching by the pedagogical policy staff member is secured, although the feedback session has not yet been completed this year; the location manager will follow up on this. No violations or areas for improvement were identified. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises the municipality of Deventer not to take enforcement measures.
