About this care
Kinderdagverblijf Buitengoed is a branch of Stichting Kinderopvang WildeWijs in Dronten, located at Wisentweg 12J. We provide daycare in a green environment for children aged 0 to 4 years. Our guiding principle is ‘Natuurlijk Samen Groeien’ (Growing Together Naturally): a place where children develop naturally through play in a stimulating setting.
Our toddler group is VE-certified and uses the Pyramid programme, which focuses on extra language and developmental stimulation, giving every child a flying start. The site is uniquely situated in green surroundings; children can press their noses to the window to watch the piglets and see the cows walking back to the barn at the end of the day. This direct connection with animals and nature makes Buitengoed special.

Strengths
- Staff interact sensitively and responsively with children, who feel emotionally safe and secure
- Good language enrichment and routines in the daily program, such as discussing the daily schedule using pictograms

- Safe sleeping protocol is well followed with 15-minute checks and baby monitors

- Refrigerator temperatures in the baby group and general kitchen were too warm (9-11°C instead of 4-7°C) and opened fresh products were not labeled with opening dates (resolved 16 June 2026)
Summary
Daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Buitengoed in Dronten, part of Kinderopvang Wildewijs, was inspected unannounced on 9 June 2026 by GGD Flevoland (Municipal Health Service). The location offers 44 childcare places with subsidized early education (VE) through the Piramide method. Following the recovery offer, the location meets all assessed requirements. Three shortcomings were identified: unclear description of early education (VE) time blocks in the location plan, missing process description for monitoring child development when distributing 960 hours of early education (VE) across two locations, and improper storage of fresh products (refrigerators too warm and missing dates). All three violations have been resolved following the recovery offer. The pedagogical practice and parent rights are satisfactory. The advice to the municipality is: no enforcement action.
