About this care
Welcome to Kindercentrum Woelwater, a cosy and pleasant day-care centre run by De Kinderkoepel, located at Tiendweide 2 in the Hellevoetsluis district of De Ravense Hoek. The day care at Woelwater shares the building on Tiendweide with the lower-year after-school care. With all types of care under one roof, children become playfully familiar with the different pedagogical staff, other children and the various rooms from an early age. This makes transitioning to the next group easier.
At the day care we have two baby groups, three toddler groups and three pre-school groups. Thanks to this horizontal grouping, every child receives the calm and attention they deserve. Our pedagogical staff work according to Kinderkoepel's pedagogical policy and playfully stimulate each child's language, motor and social development.
The centre is housed in a modern multi-purpose building. We go outside whenever we can, because outdoor play stimulates the brain and supports healthy development.
Kindercentrum Woelwater is open Monday to Friday from 7.00 a.m. to 6.30 p.m.; the first half hour (7.00 – 7.30 a.m.) and the last half hour (6.00 – 6.30 p.m.) can be optionally taken via a separate contract. Kindercentrum Woelwater in Hellevoetsluis, part of De Kinderkoepel Kinderopvang B.V., was inspected by the Municipal Health Service (GGD) Rotterdam-Rijnmond on 29 April 2026. The annual investigation showed that the location meets the quality requirements in most areas. The pedagogical climate, personnel policy, and group structure were assessed positively. One quality requirement was not in order: the safety and health policy. During the visit, a bottle of cleaning product was on the counter within reach of children, while the policy prescribes that these be stored high and out of reach. The staff member did not have a clear answer to questions about this policy. The holder acknowledges the deviation in its response and states that the situation has been discussed internally with additional agreements. The GGD advises the municipality of Voorne aan Zee to enforce.
