About this care
BSO Marijtje Doets 4 is located at Makassarweg 211 in Almere and is part of the family-run organisation Kindercentrum Marijtje Doets B.V., a trusted name in after-school care for more than 20 years. Our location welcomes up to 40 children aged 7 to 12. We have close partnerships with primary schools De Dukdalf and Het Kristal, allowing us to pick the children up safely after classes and offer them a warm, homely place to unwind.
Child participation is key: our pedagogical staff draw up every activity calendar together with the children, so they have a real say in what we do and can decide on the spot whether to join in. We deliberately keep screens out—no TV, tablets, phones or game consoles—focusing instead on outdoor play, sports, creativity and discovery. During school holidays all BSO groups merge into one vibrant location with an alternative programme packed with creative workshops, joint cooking sessions, science & nature excursions, sports and varied outings.

Summary
BSO Marijtje Doets 4 (Malmö) in Almere was inspected unannounced on 12 January 2026 by GGD Flevoland. The after-school care (BSO) for 40 children (ages 7-13) meets all assessed requirements following recovery offer. The atmosphere is positive and energetic, with pleasant contact between staff and children. There were two shortcomings regarding deployment of the pedagogical policy worker/coach (PBM): the hour allocation across locations was not transparent and the accountability of coaching hours in 2025 was incorrectly calculated. Following the recovery offer (26 February to 5 March 2026), both points have been resolved. The advice to the municipality is: no enforcement action.
