About this care
Kindercentrum Het Dok is a modern daycare center operated by SKO Oegstgeest, located in the Nieuw-Rhijngeest neighborhood at Rustenburgerpad 8. We provide care for children aged 0 to 4 years in a large, bright facility designed for exploration, play, and development.
Children can enjoy cozy moments reading books on the couch, build with various materials, engage in creative activities, bake cookies or cook together, play in the home corner, and of course spend plenty of time outdoors. We have a beautiful outdoor playground with a separate area specifically for children aged 0 to 4, including a special baby corner where the youngest can safely discover their surroundings.
We use horizontal grouping, where children are organized by age. This provides calm and familiarity for the children and allows us to tailor activities to their developmental level. Our pedagogical staff create a loving and stimulating environment where each child has the space to develop at their own pace.
As part of SKO Oegstgeest, which has been active in the region for 35 years, we stand for trusted childcare in the neighborhood. We work closely with primary school Het Dok, forming a broad school together. This ensures a smooth and familiar transition from daycare to school for both children and parents.

Summary
Kindercentrum het Dok in Oegstgeest provides daycare for 73 children aged 0-4 years in five horizontal core groups, including a toddler group with early childhood education. During the annual unannounced inspection on 16 July 2025, the Municipal Health Service (GGD) found that the pedagogical climate, staffing levels, early childhood education, and deployment of pedagogical policy staff fully comply with statutory requirements. A relaxed and emotionally safe atmosphere was observed, in which children feel secure and are actively challenged in their development. However, two violations were identified: the safety and health policy was not fully adhered to (hygiene and safety risks such as dust, unsafe materials within reach), and two rooms were not safely arranged (unstable wooden partition, exterior door accessible from outside). The operator made use of a recovery offer, and all shortcomings were remedied within the set timeframe. The municipality is advised not to take enforcement measures.
