This inspection report concerns an unannounced investigation following registration of the after-school care (BSO) Kindercentrum Gavelanden in Meppel, conducted by Municipal Health Service (GGD) Drenthe. The location provides care for 20 children aged 4 to 12 years in two group rooms. Overall, the care provision meets the quality requirements well. The pedagogical climate, staff and groups, accommodation, and parental rights were all assessed positively. One violation was identified in the area of safety and health: the safety and health policy was not up to date as it still referred to the former organisation name PlusKinderopvang instead of Stichting WIES Kinderopvang. The holder made use of the recovery offer and amended the policy within the four-week deadline. After recovery, this requirement is now met.
