About this care
Welcome to Kindercentrum Doen, located at Patriottenlaan 1 in Zwolle. We provide small-scale childcare for children aged 0 to 4 years. Our philosophy is inspired by Emmi Pikler and Montessori, focusing on respectful care, a prepared environment, and free movement space. We operate based on three pillars: moving, playing, and caring.
At our center, children learn by doing. They set their own table, spread their own sandwiches, pour their own drinks, and cut their own fruit. In our Atelier, children decide for themselves what creative activities they want to do. We have a garden with rabbits and indoors, children can swing, climb, and slide in our shared play area.
We serve organic warm meals specially cooked for the children. Our opening hours are Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 18:00. We work with a 51-week package and are closed on public holidays.Read more

Kindercentrum Doen in Zwolle was inspected by GGD IJsselland on 21 April 2026. The daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV), located in the Kievietsbloem residential care center with 40 childcare places, operates according to the Pikler approach. The inspection concerned an unannounced annual investigation in which the pedagogical climate, staff and groups, safety and health, and parental rights were assessed. All examined domains meet the statutory requirements. The safety and health policy is comprehensive and well implemented, with attention to risks, outings, and back-up supervision. The parent committee is active and positive about the pedagogical implementation. No violations or areas for improvement were identified. The advice to the municipality is: no enforcement.
