About this care
Welcome to Kindercentrum de Scheg, a modern daycare centre located in the heart of the Zijdelwaard neighbourhood in Uithoorn. Our childcare centre is housed in a brand-new, multifunctional complex that also includes a community room and a large sports hall. The building is designed with children in mind: bright spaces with high ceilings and large windows, largely constructed from wood, creating a warm and homely atmosphere. A play corridor with a slide and climbing wall is a real eye-catcher, offering children a safe and challenging place to play.
Our daycare consists of three vertical groups. This means children aged 0 to 4 years are together in the same group. This setup allows younger children to learn from the older ones, while toddlers can be caring and proud of their ‘little ones’. Our experienced pedagogical staff ensure a safe and secure pedagogical climate. They encourage each child to discover, play and develop at their own pace. Learning and experiencing through play is central to our approach: from feeding and changing babies to guiding toddlers in their first steps towards independence.
Kindercentrum de Scheg is open 52 weeks a year from 7.30 am to 6.30 pm, including during school holidays. We believe it is important that parents can make flexible use of childcare, whenever they need it. We are located in a diverse neighbourhood where people from different cultures live together. Summary
Kindercentrum de Scheg / daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) in Uithoorn, part of Stichting Kinderopvang Solidoe, was inspected unannounced on 18 May 2026 by GGD Amsterdam (Municipal Health Service). The location provides daycare for a maximum of 40 children divided across 3 vertical core groups. The pedagogical climate is positive: there is a warm atmosphere, staff are attentive and responsive, and children are challenged in their development. However, one violation was identified: on Wednesday 13 May 2026, children from group Makkertjes were placed with group Maatjes due to staff shortage. This is not permitted because children then use more than two core group rooms per week, and incidental merging for ratio reasons is prohibited. The location manager implemented a structural solution as of 15 July 2026: Makkertjes will then also be structurally placed with Kameraadjes on Wednesdays, with adjustment of placement agreements. This has remedied the violation. Additionally, the LRR data does not match the Chamber of Commerce (KVK) name. The GGD advises against enforcement measures.
