Settling in
The settling-in period consists of 4 days starting from the contract date, with the child staying longer at the group each day. The schedule: Day 1 9-11am, Day 2 9am-1pm, Day 3 9am-3pm, Day 4 9am-5pm, all without a parent. The child is assigned a settling-in coach (usually the mentor) who answers questions. After 6 weeks, there is an evaluation meeting about the wellbeing of the child and parents.
Sick child policy
A sick child will be picked up if: 1) they are too sick to participate in the daily programme, 2) the care required is too intensive for the childcare staff, 3) they pose a risk to the health of other children, or 4) their fever is above 38.5 degrees. In case of doubt, behavioural changes are observed. Parents are alerted at clear signs of illness. In case of acute danger, a doctor is contacted immediately.
