About this care
At CKC Drenthe, the child is at the heart of everything we do. We provide Christian primary education and childcare at 31 child centers spread across Assen, Aa en Hunze, Borger-Odoorn, Tynaarlo, Noordenveld and Midden-Drenthe. Each of our child centers has its own character, but they all share the ambition to pay attention to every child and give each one a solid foundation in a safe and pleasant environment.
We strive to create a challenging environment where children can develop to their full potential. Our dedicated team members ensure a warm atmosphere where play and learning go hand in hand. Our slogan 'Oog voor iedereen' (Eye for everyone) is the starting point for all our staff, where we not only pay attention to the children, but also to parents, social partners and our own colleagues.
At CKC Drenthe, we offer daycare, preschool/toddler care and after-school care (BSO). We believe in the broad development of children, where in addition to education we also devote attention to social and emotional growth. Summary
Kindcentrum de Tol in Zuidlaren provides after-school care (BSO) for up to 40 children aged 4–12. The inspection of 16 September 2025 concludes that the location meets statutory requirements in all examined areas (administration, pedagogical practice, safety, accommodation, parental involvement). Two violations were initially identified: the absence of a concrete description in the pedagogical policy regarding the identification of developmental problems, and staff not being registered in the Childcare Personnel Register (Personenregister Kinderopvang) in a timely manner. Both violations have since been resolved following a recovery offer (herstelaanbod). The pedagogical practice is strong: staff interact respectfully and sensitively, offer varied activities, and maintain good relationships with parents. The accommodation is spacious and safe, administration is in order, and there is an active parent committee. There is no grounds for enforcement.
