About this care
Kindcentrum Claus is located at Middenweg 6 in the Oostermeenthe district of Steenwijk and offers Christian day-care (KDV) for children aged 0 to 4. We are part of the PCO Accrete foundation and share one roof with the primary school, giving your child a continuous, familiar learning and development line from the very first day.
Our day-care is open every weekday from 6:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. and even 52 weeks a year, including school holidays. Communication with parents runs through the KidsKonnect app: you receive photos, daily reports and can submit changes yourself. For registration with the Tax Authorities you use LRK number 219168003.
We work from a Christian identity: every day we pay attention to Bible stories, Christian songs and celebrate Christian holidays. All children are welcome as long as parents respect our identity. Our pedagogical approach focuses on a promising start in your child’s first 1,000 days. We offer personalised, discovery-based activities that match your child’s pace and needs.

Strengths
- Pedagogical policy is implemented in concrete terms and evaluated annually
- Pre-school education follows an accredited programme (Uk & Puk) with sufficient hours and qualified staff

Summary
Kindcentrum Claus in Steenwijk provides daycare and after-school care (BSO) for up to 64 children and is part of the Accrete organisation. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) conducted an unannounced annual inspection on 27 October 2025. All quality requirements were met, with one exception: the training requirement for working with babies. Two staff members in the baby group did not hold a valid baby care certificate. Following a two-week recovery offer, they were subsequently found to be certified, thereby resolving the violation. The location scores positively on pedagogical policy, safety, health, parent involvement and pre-school education. There is an active coaching plan and parents are satisfied. The advice to the municipality is to take no enforcement action.
