Kindcentrum Broeckie

Kindcentrum Broeckie at Oosterom 3 in Volendam offers daycare for children aged 0 to 4 years, spread across six groups. The centre is located in a new building opened in January 2023, right next to the shopping centre. Our experienced team of pedagogical staff provides a trusted and safe environment where children can develop to their full potential. We work with the Piramide educational programme, which helps children discover the world in a playful and safe way. Every four weeks a different theme takes centre stage—such as people, autumn, food and drink, celebration, living, spring, clothing, art, traffic or summer. Within these themes children learn new skills through play and get to know the world around them. Our groups are partly age-based. We have two baby/toddler groups (0–2 years), two preschool groups (2–4 years) and a mixed-age group (0–4 years) where children can stay with the same familiar faces for four years. There is also a playgroup called 't Kattekopje. Each group has its own daily rhythm with fixed moments for play, activities, meals and rest. Babies and toddlers follow their own rhythm which the pedagogical staff respect. Toddlers are challenged in theme corners such as a home corner, building corner, car corner and reading corner. In the preschool groups the day starts in a circle, followed by free play or guided activities. Outdoor play is very important: children can play in the sandpit, slide down the slide or cycle on the traffic square. We also regularly take walks to the nearby nature park. The daycare is open Monday to Friday from 07:15 to 18:15. A half day equals 5.75 hours (morning) or 5.25 hours (afternoon). Parents can choose half or full days. Nappies, wipes and sunscreen are included. Fresh fruit, vegetables, crackers and a warm bread meal are served daily. The menu can be adapted for allergies or dietary requirements. Our pedagogical staff are qualified and work according to the four-eyes principle. The building is designed so that colleagues can always see and hear each other. We value cooperation with parents through parent meetings, a parent committee and an open-door policy. We also use the Bitcare app to keep parents updated with photos and messages throughout the day.
