About this care
Kidswijs Haren is located in the heart of the village of Haren on a spacious and green location since August 2019. We provide daily care in 2 vertical groups for children aged 10 weeks to 4 years. Children stay in the same group with the same caregivers for 4 years, which benefits the bond between child and caregiver. Our 650 m2 building has 2 large, bright group rooms, a large kitchen, 2 sleeping rooms per group and underfloor heating. The 350 m2 garden is surrounded by greenery and trees, with a sandbox, outdoor toys, a bicycle path between the trees and a playhouse. Summary
Kidswijs Kinderopvang in Haren is a small-scale daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) for children aged 0-4 with 48 places. The unannounced follow-up inspection on 6 August 2026 focused on the 'safe sleeping' item, which was not met during the annual inspection on 26 February 2026. The location was then using strollers as sleeping places for babies, which is contrary to the national Safe Sleeping protocol. Risks regarding this practice were also missing from the policy. Following the recovery offer, the provider adjusted its policy: strollers are no longer used for sleeping, children now sleep in approved cribs or mobile cradles, and an additional crib has been purchased for the youngest babies. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) concludes that the legal requirement is now met. The advice to the municipality is: no enforcement action.
