Kiddie Care

When you use childcare via childminder agency Kiddie Care, you are entitled to childcare benefit (kinderopvangtoeslag) because the agency provides recognised childcare under the Childcare Act. Depending on your household income, part of the costs for childminder care and care at home is reimbursed through government subsidy.

It is important to apply for childcare benefit within three months of starting care with the Tax Authority. If you wait longer, you will miss out on benefit. For more information about childcare benefit, Kiddie Care refers to the website of the Tax Authority Benefits (Belastingdienst Toeslagen). The agency advises childminders on setting their rates so that these remain attractive in combination with childcare benefit.

The fees at GOB Kiddie Care are structured as follows: one-time costs for registration and placement (€59.95), fees to the childminder, and agency fees to the childminder agency. For care at the childminder's home, the agency advises rates between €7.00 and €8.50 per hour per child. Childminders may request additional reimbursements for meals, nappies, weekend care, public holidays, or evening hours.

For care at home, advised rates are between €18.00 and €23.00 per family per hour (including 8% holiday allowance), depending on whether the childminder is self-employed (ZZP'er) or falls under the Domestic Service Regulation (Regeling Dienstverlening aan Huis). The agency has a cashier function: all payments go through the childminder agency with an online hour registration system for invoices, salary overviews, and annual statements. Parent clients pay invoices directly to the agency, which handles further settlement with the childminder.

GOB Kiddie Care applies strict selection criteria for childminders. All candidate childminders must have at minimum an MBO-2 diploma in Care & Welfare Assistance (focused on childminder care) or an equivalent/higher certificate. In addition, a valid first aid diploma and Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) are mandatory, not only for the childminder but also for all adult household members.

Childminders are selected based on motivation, experience, and knowledge, and are registered in the Childcare Persons Register where they are continuously screened. During intake interviews, it is discussed whether the childminder's approach and vision align with the agency's pedagogical policy. After placement, at least semi-annual home visits take place with evaluations and repeated Risk Inventory and Evaluation (RIE) checks.

GOB Kiddie Care meets all legal requirements of the Childcare Act and is registered in the National Childcare Register under LRK number 144504509. The agency holds KNGO certification, which means the owner continuously invests in further training and quality improvement. All childminders are thoroughly screened and must meet strict selection criteria: at minimum an MBO-2 diploma in Care & Welfare Assistance, valid first aid diploma, Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) for themselves and adult household members, and registration in the Childcare Persons Register.

The agency conducts annual GGD (Municipal Health Service) inspections and submits care data to the Tax Authority. There has been an active parent committee since 2009 that represents parents' interests and advises on quality. Inspection reports are publicly available on the website, as are an internal complaints procedure and privacy statement.
