About this care
Welcome to Stichting Vrije Kinderopvang Eindhoven – Wonderboom, located at Mimosaplein 1 in Eindhoven. We provide daycare (KDV) for children aged 0 to 4 and a playgroup for toddlers aged 2 to 4. Our approach is inspired by the anthroposophical insights of Rudolf Steiner. In a homely, simple environment closely connected to nature, every child is given space to develop at his or her own pace. The day is rhythmically structured, attuned to the child’s stage of life. We cooperate intensively with Vrije Basisschool De Regenboog in a so-called SPIL-centre, creating a continuous developmental line from 0 to 12 years. Summary
Daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Wonderboom in Eindhoven was inspected on 16 July 2026 by the Municipal Health Service (GGD) Brabant-Zuidoost. The small anthroposophical childcare facility, located in SPILcentrum Mimosaplein, provides daycare to 37 children in three core groups (ages 0–4). The annual inspection shows a predominantly positive picture. The pedagogical practice, personnel matters, accommodation, and complaints handling directly met all requirements. However, two shortcomings were identified in the pedagogical policy: the maximum group size and the procedure for extra day sessions were not described. The holder made use of the recovery offer and amended the policy, after which full compliance was achieved. The GGD advises no enforcement action.
