KDV ’t Scheperke is a daycare centre run by Stichting Kinderwereld, located at Boermarkeweg 68B in Emmen. We provide daycare and toddler care for up to 39 children aged 0 to 4 years. Summary

The annual inspection on 21 April 2026 at daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) 't Scheperke in Emmen, part of Kinderwereld and located at Scheper Hospital, revealed multiple shortcomings. The location provides care for a maximum of 39 children across three groups. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) identified violations in three areas: pedagogical climate, staff and groups, and accommodation. The group rooms were sparsely furnished and not in accordance with the pedagogical policy. The living room was used only as a break room rather than for development-oriented activities. Early childhood education (voorschoolse educatie/VE) lacked adequate implementation, and a trainee (BBL-er) was incorrectly deployed without the required qualifications. The BBL-er was also left alone with a group on multiple occasions, in violation of the supervision plan. The holder stated in their response that improvement actions have been initiated and spaces have been rearranged. The GGD advises enforcement action.
