Summary

Daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Speelboot in Leerdam, part of Dichtbij Kinderopvang, provides daycare for a maximum of 48 children aged 0 to 4 years in 3 groups, including an early childhood education (VE) group using the Piramide and LOGO3000 programmes. The annual inspection of 7 May 2026 showed that the location met statutory requirements in the areas of pedagogical climate, staff and groups, and parental rights. The safety and health domain was found to be compliant following a recovery offer. One violation was identified: various products in the first aid kit were past their expiration date. The location took immediate action by acquiring a new first aid kit and increasing the inspection frequency to twice per year. The remaining safety measures, including heat and sun protection, were in order. The pedagogical quality was assessed positively, particularly the development-oriented approach and the collaboration with parents and schools during the transition to primary education.
