Summary

GGD Zuid-Limburg conducted an unannounced annual inspection on 11 May 2026 at toddler daycare Snuffel in Heerlen. The location, part of Stichting Peuteropvang Heerlen, provides care for 32 children aged 2 to 4 years in two group rooms. All assessed areas meet statutory requirements: administration, pedagogical climate, staff and groups, safety and health, and parental rights. Pedagogical practice aligns with policy and early childhood education using the Speelplezier method is well implemented. It was noted that pedagogical professionals have only basic awareness of the mandatory reporting obligation; deeper understanding is desirable and was discussed with the policy officer. No violations were identified and no recovery offer was made.
