Toddler daycare It Protternêst in Blauwhuis, part of Stichting Kinderopvang Friesland, was inspected on 28 November 2025 by the Municipal Health Service (GGD) Fryslân. The toddler daycare accommodates a maximum of 16 children aged 2-4 years, on Tuesday, Thursday and Friday mornings. During the unannounced annual inspection, the location met all assessed statutory quality requirements. The pedagogical practice demonstrates sensitive, responsive guidance in which children are challenged in their development. All staff members hold the required qualifications and Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG). The staff-child ratio is correctly applied and there is a functioning parent committee. The languages of instruction are Dutch and Frisian. The reporting code for domestic violence and child abuse has been adequately established and implemented. No violations or areas for improvement were identified. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises the municipality of Súdwest-Fryslân not to take enforcement action.
