't Krielhoekje

Welcome to toddler group 't Krielhoekje, located in primary school It Bûtenplak in Hoornsterzwaag. We provide toddler care for children from 2 years old in a small-scale, familiar environment. Our toddler group is open during school weeks from Monday to Thursday from 8:15 AM to 12:15 PM. We focus on learning through play. Toddlers play freely in play corners and outside, with planned activities such as eating together, crafts, singing and story time creating a clear daily rhythm. During play and activities we focus on language, creative thinking, movement, independence and especially on each other. We go outside every day, whatever the weather. Our school is located in the countryside with lots of green space. We have our own vegetable garden beds where children care for plants, and we have chickens that lay eggs. Each season has its own special features: from spring leaves to autumn puddle play and winter snow fun. We offer preschool education (VE). Toddlers who need extra support receive additional programming and extra mornings. The consultation bureau can provide an indication, meaning parents don't have to pay for these extra mornings themselves. Our toddler group works closely with primary school It Bûtenplak. The toddlers have a classroom next to the kindergarteners and the connecting door is opened as much as possible, allowing older toddlers to explore the kindergarten classroom. Toddlers and kindergarteners share a school garden and playground, helping toddlers get used to their future school through play. The team consists of teacher Sasja (owner) and teacher Nellie. Sasja works on the group as much as possible and is the contact for parents and the school. When more than 8 toddlers are present, a second pedagogical staff member joins. We also provide internship placements for students. Thanks to the small team, there are not too many different faces. 't Krielhoekje is a franchise location of Kinderwoud. Teacher Sasja runs her own business while using the expertise and facilities of Kinderwoud, which has over 50 years of experience in childcare.
