About this care
Welcome to Peuter- en kinderopvang Het Kristal, a Christian daycare centre located at Heimerstein 36 in Dordrecht. We are part of Stichting H3O, an organisation that has been providing high-quality Christian childcare and education since 2006. We offer a safe, loving and stimulating environment for up to 61 children aged 0 to 4 years.
Our daycare works with horizontal age groups, ensuring a calm and familiar setting that matches your child's developmental stage. We provide early childhood education (VVE) to support language and cognitive development from an early age. Our qualified staff specialise in early years care and work from a Christian identity, with values such as respect, love and connection at the heart of everything we do.
At Het Kristal, we believe children should feel safe and at home. We offer quiet sleeping areas and a play environment that invites exploration and learning. We also collaborate closely with the primary school and other parts of the Integral Child Centre (IKC), ensuring a continuous development path for your child. New families are warmly invited for a tour and a personal introduction.
In short, Peuter- en kinderopvang Het Kristal offers more than just childcare. We provide a place where children love to come, where parents feel confident, and where we work together to build a strong foundation for the future.Read more

Strengths
- Relaxed, open atmosphere in the groups
- Staff effectively support and stimulate children's development
- Varied range of activities that stimulate diverse developmental areas
- Qualified personnel with annual coaching
- Safe and appropriately designed indoor and outdoor spaces
- Staff work with a recognized VE programme and in accordance with policy
Violations
- The pedagogical policy plan did not describe concretely enough how a child from 2.5 years of age could receive at least 960 hours of early childhood education (voorschoolse educatie/VE) within 1.5 years, including the agreement that a maximum of 6 hours per day would count
- The 2025 coaching plan contained an incorrect calculation of the number of hours to be deployed for the pedagogical policy staff member/coach, meaning the distribution was not documented in writing and was not transparent for parents and staff
Summary
Peuter- en kinderopvang Het Kristal in Dordrecht, part of Stichting H3O, was inspected on 11 June 2026. The location provides care for 61 children in four groups, including early childhood education (voorschoolse educatie/VE). The pedagogical climate is positive: there is a relaxed atmosphere, staff work in a child-centred manner and offer varied activities. Nevertheless, two violations were identified for which a recovery offer was made. The pedagogical policy did not describe concretely enough how 960 hours of VE would be achieved, and the coaching plan contained an incorrect calculation for the deployment of pedagogical policy staff. Both shortcomings have been resolved. The accommodation and staff qualifications are satisfactory. The advice to the municipality is: no enforcement action.
