About this care
Opvang De Bezige Bij is a small-scale daycare centre located at Kloosterstraat 4 in the heart of Geffen. We provide care for up to 12 children aged 0 to 4 years. Our aim is to give every child a wonderful time in a safe and familiar environment. We tailor our activities to each child’s age, needs, interests and talents. Children can explore a wide range of activities: from sporty challenges such as basketball, cycling or judo to creative pursuits like sculpting, woodworking or making jewellery. If the children have their own ideas, we try to incorporate their suggestions into our programme. We are open 51 weeks a year, Monday to Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., allowing parents to use our services flexibly. On 10 March 2026, the Municipal Health Service (GGD) Hart voor Brabant conducted an annual inspection at daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Opvang De Bezige Bij in Geffen. The location provides care for 16 children (ages 1.5–13) in a combined group of daycare center (KDV) and after-school care (BSO). Overall, the location meets the quality requirements well. The pedagogical climate is positive: staff members are sensitive and responsive, offer varied activities, and stimulate children's development. Safety, health, and parental rights also meet the requirements. Two violations were identified in the areas of personnel and groups, for which a recovery offer was made.
