About this care
Welcome to Okidoki Spinel 2, a small and cozy daycare centre located in the heart of ’s-Gravenzande. We provide childcare within Het KADO, a collaboration between CBS De Kameleon, OBS De Driekleur Dalton and Okidoki Kinderopvang. Our location is centrally situated between several primary schools and features a beautiful, enclosed outdoor area directly adjacent to the group rooms.
At Okidoki Spinel 2 we work with two horizontal core groups: the Owls (0-2 years) and the Foxes (2-4 years). Each group has its own space fully tailored to the age and development of the children. The baby group is equipped with quiet sleeping areas, a playpen and soft play corners. The toddler group uses themed corners such as a home corner, construction corner and reading corner, with small playgroups to create calm and overview.
Our outdoor space consists of two playgrounds: a small yard specially designed for the youngest children, and a large yard with a discovery garden, nature huts and play equipment. We offer daily outdoor activities and for the baby group there is even the option to sleep outside in a safe outdoor cot – always with parental consent.
Due to our small scale, we know every child and parent personally. Our permanent pedagogical staff are ready every day with a smile, a listening ear and a familiar face. We communicate daily through the Konnect parent app, so parents stay informed of all the beautiful moments and developments.

Summary
On 1 April 2025, GGD Haaglanden conducted an unannounced inspection of OKIDOKI Spinel Kinderopvang in 's-Gravenzande. This day care center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) for up to 28 children aged 0–4 was approved: no violations were found and all statutory requirements were met. The location operates in accordance with an up-to-date pedagogical policy that is applied in practice, for example when settling in new children. All staff members hold a valid Certificate of Good Conduct (VOG) and are properly registered. The safety and health policy is complete, the four-eyes principle is applied, and there is always someone with paediatric first aid certification on site. Parents are kept well informed through the website, newsletters and an active parent committee. There were no complaints in the past year. The municipality is advised not to take enforcement action.
