Summary

Daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) Norlandia Het Zonnehof in Tilburg was inspected unannounced on 11 November 2025 following a request to increase the number of childcare places from 48 to 56. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) assessed the general conditions, pedagogical climate, staff and groups, and the accommodation. All assessed quality requirements are met: changes have been correctly reported, the pedagogical policy is clear and concrete, the four core groups are stable and meet the size requirements, and the indoor and outdoor spaces provide ample square metres per child (5–5.4 m² indoors, 8.7 m² outdoors). The spaces are safe, furnished in an age-appropriate manner, and equipped with challenging play materials. No violations or areas for improvement were identified. The location may therefore expand to 56 places; the municipal executive (college van B&W) is advised to approve the amendment in the LRK.
