Meuleke

We are Meuleke, a toddler care location of Stichting Peuteropvang Heerlen located at Kerkraderweg 7 in Heerlen. Together with our 80 pedagogical professionals and 30 volunteers, we provide a good start in life for over 650 toddlers in Heerlen and Hoensbroek. Everything we do revolves around learning through play together. Toddlers who play learn so much: new words, counting, playing together, sharing, having fun, following instructions and much more. Our Meuleke location is specially designed for two- and three-year-olds who are at the beginning of their journey to acquire skills and knowledge. We work with a clear horizontal group structure, where children of the same age play and learn together. This forms the ideal preparation for primary school. We find reading very important and enjoyable, which is why we have developed our own book series featuring Pim and Poes. These stories are used to stimulate children's language development. Our opening hours are flexibly arranged: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 8:00 to 11:30 AM and from 12:15 to 2:45 PM. On Wednesday we are open from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM. This makes it possible to provide half-day care, which perfectly meets parents' needs. We work intensively with primary schools in the area, including the Broederschool, to ensure a smooth transition to primary education. Through six-weekly consultations and a targeted approach, we strengthen the VVE policy and build uninterrupted development for every child.
