Kristalkind Kinderopvang B.V., location Linie in Breda, was inspected on 27 November 2025 by the Municipal Health Service (GGD) West-Brabant. The daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) provides care for 32 children aged 0 to 4 years, divided across two core groups: Bergkristal (0-2 years) and Rozenkwarts (2-4 years). The inspection was an unannounced investigation following registration. In most areas, the location meets the statutory requirements: administration, pedagogical climate, staff and groups, accommodation and parental rights are all in order. The pedagogical climate is assessed positively; the staff provide stimulating contact, work on social competence and ensure a positive atmosphere. However, two violations were identified regarding safety and health. The toddler toilets are located at a distance from the group, out of sight and next to an exterior door, which poses a risk of children going missing. This risk was not described in the policy and there was no action plan for safe toilet use. Following a recovery offer, the operator submitted a revised policy and action plan on 16 December 2025, thereby meeting the requirements. The Municipal Health Service (GGD) advises the municipality of Breda not to apply enforcement action.
