About this care
Welcome to Kinderopvang Be Happy, located at Van der Valk Boumanweg 180C in Leiderdorp. Since December 2016 we have been offering small-scale, personal childcare for children aged 0 to 4 years. We operate a single vertical group where babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers play and explore together.
Our aim is for every child and every parent to feel heard, seen and valued. We deliberately build a close relationship with your child and with you as a parent, because security and trust are our top priorities. The team consists of two permanent, dedicated childcare professionals who have been working with love and pleasure in childcare since 2009. Thanks to our small scale we truly know each child and can fully meet his or her needs and developmental pace.

Kinderopvang Be Happy in Leiderdorp was inspected on 6 July 2026 by GGD Hollands Midden (Municipal Health Service). The daycare center (kinderdagverblijf/KDV) with 24 places for children aged 0-4 years meets all assessed quality requirements. The inspection was an unannounced annual review in which the pedagogical climate, staff and groups, and safety and health were assessed. The pedagogical practice shows strong points: staff act with sensitivity and responsiveness, as illustrated in their handling of a crying baby and in stimulating social skills during lunch. Personnel matters are also fully in order: all employees are correctly registered in the personnel register, hold the proper qualifications, and the staff-to-child ratio is compliant. The safety and health policy is implemented in accordance with regulations. The licence holder agrees with the report. No areas for improvement or violations were identified.
