About this care
Welcome to Korein Kindcentrum de Wentelwiek, located at Jacobushoek 5 in the heart of Nuenen. We provide daycare for children aged 0 to 4 years in a spacious, green learning environment that is literally and figuratively at the center of the neighborhood. Our location is part of Kindcentrum De Wentelwiek, where education, toddler programs, and childcare come together under one roof. This unique concept allows us to offer a continuous developmental line, working together with primary school De Wentelwiek from one pedagogical and educational vision.
For the youngest children, we have created a sheltered garden, allowing babies and toddlers to play and explore safely outdoors. Additionally, we have a challenging outdoor space where children can romp and experience nature. A special service we offer is the possibility for babies to sleep safely outside, ensuring they get fresh air while resting.
Our pedagogical staff consciously respond to the age and development of each child. We stimulate independence and self-reliance, helping children with their own unique development. We do this by offering targeted activities that connect with their world of experience. We work with a standardized Early Childhood Education (VVE) method that stimulates the development of toddlers in areas such as language, mathematics, social-emotional development, and motor skills. In this playful way, we prepare children for primary school.
The groups are horizontally organized, with babies, toddlers, and preschoolers grouped by age. This creates peace and familiarity for the children and allows our staff to specifically address the unique needs of each age group. We believe it is important that every child can be themselves and develop optimally in their own unique way.

Kindcentrum de Wentelwiek in Nuenen, part of Korein B.V. (Wij zijn JONG), received an unannounced inspection by GGD Brabant-Zuidoost on 5 March 2026. The annual investigation showed that the childcare facility meets the legal requirements in all assessed areas — pedagogical climate, staff and groups, and safety and health. The location provides daycare for 60 children across three groups and early childhood education to target-group toddlers using the Startblokken method.
